New from Be Kind is the Silisipper, a glass sippy cup with a snap-on nontoxic silicone lid. The silicone training top easily snaps onto the tempered 7.75 oz. glass tumbler. Per American Dental Association recommendations, the lid is valve and spout free allowing your child to learn how to correctly sip from the glass rather than suck, making the future transition to a lidless cup much smoother.
With the one-piece silicone lid design, there are no small parts requiring special attention while washing or that may become lost.
Cup and lid are free of BPA, phthalates, PVC, and lead. Lid is made of 100% food grade silicone. Lid and glass are dishwasher and microwave safe and can also be put in the freezer.

This is a great cup! The glass is substantial and doesn't break easily (with my three year old, dropping happens. But so far so good). My kids love drinking out of it, and I also like that I can easily see how much there is left in the cup. There are two (fairly minor) drawback... the cup itself is pretty wide, so for smaller hands it could be hard to lift and drink out of, especially one handed. The drinking hole in the top is also fairly small, so if your child is on the older end of sippy cup age, that might be a little bit of an issue. However, you can easily convert this to a regular kid-size cup when the time comes by not using the lid! I love that it is not plastic, and am glad that there is this option for those of us who want to use glass whenever possible.

This cup is a favorite of both of my kids! My daughter has oral motor weakness so teaching her to properly "sip" instead of suck is important for her. It's very easy for her to hold (2 years old) and my 4 year old son loves it too. I love the tiny spout on top so that it doesn't make a mess if it tips over. Love, love that it is non-toxic (very important to me!). Easily washed and love that it can be used for many other things without the lid. The only caution is that 2 year old hands can easily pry the lid off quickly :)
