I use this to make all of my baby food purees and I think it's well worth the cost. If you're making your own purees, it's likely because you are concerned about giving your baby the freshest and most nutritious food. Why ruin that by putting your baby's food in BPA and other chemical laden ice cube trays?! These make perfect 1oz cubes and clean up easily. My only complaint is that I do feel the need to soak them a bit extra after freezing green beans or peas. Both of them seem to leave a lingering smell in the silicone but it does go away after a good wash!
